Hi, I'm Fran.
Fran Luz is a Brazilian-born artist based in Australia whose work is inspired by the wildlife, colour, and wonder of the natural world. Growing up surrounded by Brazil's rich biodiversity, she developed a deep appreciation for the animals, landscapes, and vibrant ecosystems that continue to influence her work today.
Her paintings and illustrations are designed to do more than decorate a space. Each piece tells a story, celebrating the personality, beauty, and uniqueness of wildlife while encouraging people to reflect on their relationship with nature. By bringing these animals into homes and everyday life, Fran hopes to create moments of curiosity, conversation, and care.
At the heart of her work is the belief that people protect what they love. Through colour, storytelling, and wildlife-inspired art, she aims to help others build a deeper connection with nature and a greater appreciation for the remarkable species that share our world.

A room shifts the moment a saturated piece walks in. I lean into vivid, deliberate palettes pulled from tropical light, the ocean, and the inside of a fruit you'd find at a Brazilian market.

Gesso build-up, raised feathers, scales and petals. Even from across the room, you can feel the work has been made by hand.
